The Average Of The Five People | Morning ROAR V3.36

Summary:

You are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with. Whether or not you realise it, the people that you surround yourself with set your standards. Sticking with people that tear you down is not conducive to success, while admirable individuals will elevate you directly or indirectly.

In This Episode…

  • Creating grander visions and ideas for our own futures
  • Building relationships that are healthy in your own personal growth.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

Above all, experience is everything. In business, it dictates whether or not your customer will continue doing business with you. In our personal lives, it is what makes people gravitate toward us or avoid us entirely. For the entrepreneur, these two areas of life interweave intimately; therefore it is important to always be a person that you’d like to interact with.

Off The Cuff | Morning ROAR V3.16

Summary:

On today’s episode, Adam uses the leap day to go behind the scenes on the making of the Morning ROAR. Included are musings on the catchphrase “Make today count” and determining when something in your life is hurting you from attaining your goals.

In This Episode…

  • How does Adam overcome the “imposter syndrome”?
  • Recognizing the difference between wasting time and taking a much needed break.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

In today’s episode, Adam reminds us that this is our first time experiencing life. It’s okay to have moments of weakness, and no one expects you to be perfect. Don’t let doubts bring you down and stop you from doing what’s most important; it can damage you the way any bad habit can.

Great Leaders: Vince Lombardi | Morning ROAR V3.11

Summary:

To celebrate the month of February, the Morning ROAR will be highlighting some of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen. Today, we’ll be examining Vince Lombardi, one of the greatest coaches of all time and a pioneer of the NFL.

In This Episode…

  • Why was Lombardi affectionately referred to as “The Pope”?
  • How does one develop the traits necessary to become a winner?

Today’s ROAR Thought:

Lombardi was so admired by his men for his overall attitude towards the game of football. He didn’t believe in short cuts – instead, he pushed his men towards putting 100% of their effort towards the goal and committing themselves wholeheartedly towards victory. His leadership strategy was perseverance towards becoming great, which led the Green Bay Packers to their victory at the very first Super Bowl.

Great Leaders: Moses | Morning ROAR V2.88

Summary:

To celebrate the month of February, the Morning ROAR will be highlighting some of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen. Today, we’ll be examining Moses, the Old Testament faithful messenger that courageously led countless Jewish slaves out of Egypt’s tyrannical society.

In This Episode…

  • What was Moses’ biggest weakness as a speaker? What did he do in order to overcome this challenge?
  • Even though Moses had doubts in himself, how did his faith in God compensate for those doubts?

Today’s ROAR Thought:

It’s natural to have strengths and weaknesses, and it’s important that we recognize what they are so that we can continue working towards self improvement. Don’t let your weaknesses convince you that you’re unable to reach an unbelievable goal; through a strong vision, determination, and a game plan to help you move past the things holding you down, anything is possible.

Become The Person You Want To Be | Morning ROAR V2.86

Summary:

On this episode of the Morning ROAR, we’ll highlight the unlikely story of Wilma Rudolph – a woman willing to put the work towards proving her capabilities as an athlete and as an individual.

In This Episode…

  • What obstacles was Rudolph forced to overcome? And more importantly, what was she able to accomplish once she decided that she would not be held back?
  • Not allowing others to determine what you can and cannot do.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

Wilma’s socioeconomic standing coupled with her physical elements could have easily dictated the entire course of her life; had she accepted that she would never walk normally (let alone run), things would be much different. Instead, she refused to be bound by limitations; because she believed in herself, she exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Solve The Problem, Stop Treating The Symptoms | Morning ROAR V2.81

Summary:

No matter who you are, where you’re from, or what your background may be, you will always be faced with problems in need of being solved. This episode discusses the topic of stomping out life’s issues before they become entirely overwhelming.

In This Episode…

  • What’s the difference between treating the symptoms of a problem as oppose to putting an end to an issue once and for all?
  • Going against others’ expectations in order to solve a problem.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

The solution to your problem may not seem right to those outside of your situation. In the end, it’s most important that you listen to what you think is right in order to put an end to whatever may be bothering you – a long lasting solution may not fall in line with what’s socially acceptable, but that doesn’t mean that you should allow that problem to perpetuate endlessly.

Are You Living Life In The Fast Lane? | Morning ROAR V2.61

Summary:

Each and every one of us, at some point, is in need of a wake up call. Are you flying by all of the things that make life extraordinary? Or do you take the time to examine the details surrounding you?

In This Episode…

  • Taking into consideration why a person might be behaving in a certain way.
  • the importance of taking a moment to slow down and interact with the what’s surrounding you.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

The executive in today’s story isn’t so different from you or I. It’s easy, on the surface to assume the child throwing bricks was up to no good. However, a quick look at the surroundings reveal that the boy had nothing but good intentions. Instead of writing a situation off, pay close attention to the details and the circumstances surrounding it; more likely than not, you’ll find yourself gaining a deeper understanding of each experience you face.

Internal Change Is The Only Change You Can Make | Morning ROAR V2.58

Summary:

Do you find yourself getting annoyed at the ignorance of people surrounding you? While this is a natural reaction, consider adopting a different attitude rather than expecting others to change themselves; doing so may just make all of the difference in taking steps toward improvement.

In This Episode…

  • Finding empathy for the experiences and actions of others – even if we do not fully understand them
  • Setting aside our own judgements to make the world a better place.

Today’s ROAR Thought:

Although it’s easy to get irritated by the person talking on their cell phone in the movie theater or holding up rush hour traffic, it’s important to keep in mind that at some point another we ourselves may be the ones blocking traffic or talking in the theater. At the core of everything, we can never have the full context of why a person – especially a stranger – is behaving in a certain way. Sensitivity towards these individuals is a virtue worth holding onto.
